North Harbour Water Polo Club have a busy few days ahead of them. Age Group trials commence on May 2nd as follows:

We are pleased to advise that our coaching team is made up of some of the best coaches and players in New Zealand. Our U20 Women will be taken by ex NZ player Finn Lowery who is looking forward to getting back into coaching with NH. Finn has been overseas until recently and is currently playing for the Senior Wizard Electrical Turts.

Our U18 women will be taken by ex NZ coach and Harbour City Coach Richard Claridge. Richard took the NZ Youth girls to the best ever finish in a world champs placing 6th and is keen to give the Harbour girls some positive reinforcement of the game. Welcome to our club Richard.

Our U16 and U14 girls will be taken by our Women’s coach Matt Payne and will be assisted by other up and coaches throughout the season. Matt is keen to build the women’s programme within our club and is excited to see some fantastic talent coming through the club. “These kids have been with us from the ages of 10-12 years old and we have helped them progress through to being allround, solid players”. The club offer so many additional activities that are run by some of the best coaches in the country, so it will be a great season for sure.

Our U20 Men will have Alex Mackenzie continuing to work with them. Alex has taken this group of players right through the age groups and is keen to finish on a high. He will have Ricky Thomson assisting him this season – a great crew.

Our U18 Men and U16 boys will be taken by Davor Carevic, who is currently coaching the Senior Men through the National League this season. Davor also has a role in the NZ teams so alongside some of our coaches at Harbour we are definitely providing some of the best coaching in NZ.

Our U14 boys team will be taken by Steve Knights, who has been involved in coaching for many years. Steve has experience that many coaches can only dream of so it will be an interesting season.

Our B and C coaches are totally committed to providing the best coaching available and are up to date with the latest models of coaching. Most of our coaches are current or ex NZ players and they have played a role within the club structure for years. Cannot wait for the season to start. GO HARBOUR
