Hawaiian Invitational Tournament Recap

On 30^th July 63 players, 11 management and over 50 supporters took off to Hawaii which saw the Club enter four teams into the Hawaiian Invitational Tournament.

The teams touched down in Hawaii and were straight off to the beach for a swim in the ocean before heading out to dinner all together. The next day saw the teams train at Punahou School pool which was also where they would be playing some tournament games. The tournament started on the third day of their trip, and our teams were each competing in two divisions and playing 2 – 3 games a day. In between games the teams were able to do plenty of ocean swimming, sightseeing, shopping, and exploring the island with all our teams heading on a snorkeling boat cruise where they were able to see turtles (a big highlight for many!).

The tournament was a fantastic opportunity for all our players to gain skills, experience and play fun, competitive games against international teams. Our players and coaches all came away with more knowledge and experience, ready to put it back into their teams here in New Zealand.
